Today was Sheila’s funeral. I’ve known Sheila, and her husband Frank, ever since I joined The South Downs Magicians 18 years ago. Frank, who died several years ago, was a very clever carpenter and had built props for several well known magicians including Paul Daniels.
Inspite of the English being very bad at talking about death and funerals, todays event was more about celebrating Sheila’s life and sharing fond memories, rather than focusing on the sadness of her loss.
