Goodbye 2007, Hello 2008

Filed under: Personal — Joe Brewer @ 6:07 pm

Well, another year has shot by without so much as a blink of an eye. Last year I never really made any resolutions, so I don’t feel that I really acheived anything worthwhile during the year. So, this year I have decided to make a list so I can see any progress. Since most people tend to over estimate what they can do in one year, but under estimate what they can do in five, I have decided to make a list for one year and five years. Here are my one year goals:

  1. Take on more hypnotherapy clients, and make a bigger difference in people’s lives.
  2. Help people at The Olive Tree.
  3. Blog more often. I’ve actually won a new motorola KRZR phone in a competition at work (a major upgrade from my ancient Nokia 6310), so I’ll be able to add more pictures, and maybe videos.
  4. Start trading domains. I seem to have recently aquired so many domains, that I think it might be a good idea to start trading. Some of the domains I have I havent used at all for several years. I’ve been a member of dnforum for nearly a year, but I’ve never made any posts, so I think it’s bout time to start.
  5. I’ve been meaning to go through the eight CD set of Michel Thomas French course for what seems like years. Since I work in a muli-cultural environment, I think it would be a good idea to stretch my brain with this.
  6. Lastly, I would like to think that I could start paying my mortgage using money that I am making through affiliate marketing. Currently I’m only just about breaking even with the domain names and hosting.

So there’s my one year goals. Too much, we’ll see. My only five year goal is to pay the mortgage of the house that I am living in at the time – whether this is too big of a goal, only time will tell.

Before I sign off, just want to mention that Kylie was fantastic on last night’s Jools Holland Hootanany – she obviously loves singing with live bands 🙂

Anyway, happy new year readers!
