TED 2008 is just around the corner
I’ve just received an email informing me that the TED conference for 2008 is just around the corner. You can watch the live introduction here on Thursday, February 28 at 5:15pm US/Pacific time.
I first heard of the TED conferences about 8 months ago when I received an email from Bill O’Hanlon in August last year about stretching your mind and getting you to think in new ways. Bill publishes a great newsletter and it’s well worth subscribing to.
For those of you have have not heard about TED, it is a unique conference with presentations from great thinkers and performers. Many of the talks will blow your socks off, and are inspiring and entertaining.
Some of the presentations that I have particulaly enjoyed recently are Malcolm Gladwell’s talk on “What we can learn from spaghetti source“, Vilayanur Ramachandran’s on “A journey to the center of your mind“, Art Benjamin’s presentation of “Mathemagic“
I found this talk by J.J. Abrams on mystery particulaly cool. Abrams is particulaly confident and charismatic
